CBG Singles | A Ministry of the Church by the GladesGet the Word Out
Welcome

Singleness Defined

One of the most exciting things about singleness is that God’s Word celebrates it!!! According to Paul, singleness can be a season of unparalleled passion for God, and a unique opportunity for spiritual growth and meaningful ministry with minimal distractions. We here @ CBG join Paul in celebrating singleness and want you to know that we truly value single adults.

The Singles Ministry @ CBG broadly defines the term “single adult” as any person who checks “single” on any application they fill out for any purpose. This would include individuals who are dating, widowed, divorced, never been married and, yes, even those who are engaged.

Separated & Recently Divorced Adults

The Singles Ministry @ CBG is extremely aware of and sensitive to the needs of individuals who are separated, in the middle of a divorce or recently divorced. In fact, we strongly believe these individuals need extra encouragement and support that our ministry is just not designed to give. However, CBG offers a couple of excellent opportunities for separated/recently divorced folks.

To those who are separated, we would encourage you to explore every possible means of reconciliation in your current relationship. We firmly believe that God is bigger than us, and is able to work in and through any relationship in order to heal it (2 Corinthians 5:18-21). We would encourage you to seek the counsel of a trained Christian Counselor (for recommendations, contact Pastor Rod Evans). Because of the possibility of reconciliation (and the legality of the situation), separated persons are encouraged to attend an open adult small group @ CBG where they can receive the Christian love and support they need.

To those recently divorced, we would encourage you to attend CBG's DivorceCare program. This small group ministry is designed specifically to help separated/recently divorced individuals process through the emotions and real-life changes that result from a divorce. For more info on this ministry, contact Pastor Scott Russell

Although each case is different and will be handled accordingly, the CBG Singles Ministry welcomes any person who has been divorced for at least 6 months or has completed the DivorceCare Program to attend any of our ministry's Bible studies, Community Groups or events.

For questions or more info on any of the above items, contact Pastor Fred
